MOD On Main
Logo, branding, and signage for MOD On Main, a new hair salon at 3550 Main Street in Vancouver. Created in collaboration with Creative Others, we were hired to help bring the new brand to life.
Founded in 2020, the salon represents over 10 years of connections made by it’s founder Amanda who is dedicated to great hair and genuine authentic connections with her clients. Being a new competitor on the block, we worked with Amanda to create a bold and bright identity that will turn heads on Main street. We took Amanda's love for pink as well as her warm energy and translated that into a brand that compliments the quality of her work. The circle shape can be used as a lens or frame for a variety of content, allowing her brand the flexibility to grow and evolve.
Signage
It was identified early on that the large windows and bright open space would work great as a massive glowing lantern of activity catching customers eyes. We proposed that the signage should be done on the windows themselves and the back wall, this would attract the attention of passers-by and invite them to look in.
This also saved the client time and money as outdoor signage permits and fabrication of heavy outdoor signage was avoided.
Branding Guidelines
The guidelines help to maintain consistency across both physical and digital spaces to create a vibrant, friendly, fun brand image for the MOD on Main salon.
